It’s A Dog’s World is hiring for an experienced dog groomer for part time or full time hours. This is a commission – based position plus tips. Must be a team player and present a positive attitude. Groomers are expected to; bathe, blow dry, brush, comb, de- matting, scissor trimming, shaving, clipping and trim nails, cleaning ears, brush teeth, and express anal glands when needed. Requirements: * Have love and compassion for animals well being. * A portfolio and recommendations from clients is a plus. * Have excellent communication skills with clients to meet their wants, needs and concerns. * Be able to groom various dog breeds for proper haircuts. * Be flexible for scheduling clients and be dependable * Have patience and the ability to handle sometimes difficult or nervous behavior in a gentle but effective manner. * Lift 50 lbs and handle large breeds of dogs. * Able to stand for long periods of time along with able to bend, crouch, and reach. * Work in conditions with sounds from other animals and equipment. * Keep and maintain a clean and sanitized environment for dogs and clients.
