About the PositionThe Lead Groomer is an integral position at Scenthound, offering expert grooming knowledge, providing leadership to a team of groomers and bathers, and facilitating training to new groomers. This position requires: *Knowledge of dog breeds, their grooming and care standards, and tools of the trade*Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; Stamina to stand for long periods of time*Reliable transportation*Willingness to work in a smoke free environment Who We are Looking forWe are searching for a confident dog groomer who loves teaching their passion to others! A successful Lead Groomer is knowledgeable, perceptive, patient, adaptable, and a compassionate dog lover! We are looking for a motivating leader who can assess the needs, strengths, and weaknesses of their team members to provide effective learning opportunities.* One to two years of grooming experience (Recent grooming school grads will be considered)*Must love dogs and have a great deal of patience and empathy*Must be a team player with a positive attitude and good energy*Must be able to stand for long periods of time and do physical work all day*Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.*Available to work weekends*Ability to listen an dresp0ond to requests and feedback from Customers and Management*Keep a clean, organized work environment*Uphold Scenthound’s standards of process and quality(Submitted December 14, 2023)
