Job Description:
Top Dog Retreat is seeking dedicated professionals to join our team in providing top-notch grooming services in a state-of-the-art facility designed for canine comfort and care.
We offer a comprehensive range of services, including training facility, doggie daycare, boarding, grooming, therapy pool, expansive indoor/outdoor dog park, social space featuring a coffee and beer bar for owners. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for every dog by providing a safe and stimulating environment where they can play, relax, and thrive. We aim to build a community centered around the love for our four-legged friends, treating each dog as if they were our own.
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and assess each dog’s grooming needs based on breed, coat type, and owner preferences.
• Perform grooming services, including bathing, drying, hair trimming, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing.
• Identify and address common skin conditions or parasites, advising owners on potential veterinary care if needed.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming area, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their dog’s grooming experience and offering at-home care recommendations.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Dog Groomer, with a portfolio showcasing grooming skills across various breeds.
• In-depth knowledge of different coat types and appropriate grooming techniques.
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments with patience and care.
• Strong attention to detail and artistic ability for advanced styling assignments.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and team members.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift dogs as needed.
